Screens shall be heavy duty, front cleaned, front return type with traveling rake mechanism transported on a climbing carriage. The Screens shall be designed to operate in a damp, wet, corrosive atmosphere. Materials of construction are of the customer's preference, depen¬ding on environmental operating conditions. All parts of the equipment furnished herein shall be amply proportional for continuous operation. Adequate lubrication shall be provided for bearings, and lubrication points shall be readily accessible.

Each bar screen unit shall consist essentially of a vertical main frame, bar rack, dead plate, pin racks; a traveling rake carriage assembly including rake, cogwheel and drive assembly, rake wiper; and discharge apron.

The screen rake carriage assembly when not in operation shall be maintained in an upper position by a limit switch controlling the drive assembly, thus maintaining the rake carriage in the upper position. Limit switches shall be NEMA DPDT, dry contact, 120 volt.
